I haven't been blogging much the past few days because I'm trying to write a brand-new novel, from scratch, in, you know, three weeks. I've been aiming to get 20 or more pages written per day, and, as you might imagine, this leaves me little room for anything else.
There's SO MUCH I want to be blogging about, too. So many disasters. Penguin's brownface/blackface reworking of literary classics (boo). Rush Limbaugh's cancer (yay). But I have to finish this book, because I have zero income at the moment. And I'm sure there will be all sorts of infuriating things to write about in three weeks, though, because this is America.
One of the things I was able to find time for, though, was being interviewed by the incredible hosts, Danielle Holland and Anna Connor, at the Sorry to Podcast This podcast. Also, shout out to Sean de la Torre for engineering the show. We talked about all kinds of things - including American Dirty, Sandra Cisneros, publishing, and Hollywood. Hope you enjoy!
